1. Who these guidelines are for
These guidelines apply to clinicians, students, educators, patients, and caregivers who use MedXSmart medical calculators and health logs. Follow them together with your local policies and applicable laws.
2. Medical calculators
- Confirm you selected the correct calculator for the clinical question.
- Enter units and values carefully (kg vs lb, cm vs in, mmol/L vs mg/dL, etc.).
- Review the calculator’s “when to use”, assumptions, and limitations on the tool page.
- Do not treat a score or conversion as a diagnosis or treatment order.
- For high-stakes decisions, cross-check against primary literature and current guidelines.
3. Health logs and trackers
- Enter measurements as accurately as possible and note context (e.g., fasting, after medication).
- Health logs are personal wellness tools — share results with your clinician when appropriate.
- Seek urgent care for emergency symptoms; do not wait for an app or chart trend.
- Keep account credentials private, especially if family member profiles are stored.
